About Emily

I can't remember a time when i did not live to draw and color.  As I grew up it was evident that i had been given a gift.  I believe creativity is a gift from God.

I continued developing and experimenting in the arts throughout high school and university.  I focused most of my studies on ceramics.  I was able to work under two Potters and grew real appreciation for the art of clay. 

Though i loved to sculpt and work with clay, i also discovered a real love for painting  when in 2002 i was given an opportunity to work with an experienced Muralist on a large project.  After three months of painting at the Hartville Market Place, i found a new love of painting large scale. 

For the past six years I have worked on and off painting as an independent muralist. Through my many travels i have been given the opportunity to share my God given gift in 5 different countries around the world, painting murals.

More recently i have moved to Istanbul Turkey where i changed my focus to the canvas.  I use a mixture of acrylic paint and clay.  My love for the outdoors and the created world is shown in much of my recent work.  My art has been a great platform to meet people from all over the world and share a part of myself in a way that crosses all language and cultural barriers.

Canvas is a New Medium for me.

What I love about it is that it allows me to combine my skill in clay work with my love and passion for painting. Adding clay to canvas allows the pieces to have more depth.
